The binding contract that governs every order placed at carplaylux.com — Apple CarPlay wireless systems, Android Auto multimedia units, OEM headlights, LED headlight and rear-light kits, automotive electronics, and interior & exterior accessories — sold by Batterijen.net, a registered Netherlands business shipping to thirteen EU countries.
Scope, Seller Identity and Acceptance of These Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you (the "Customer") and Batterijen.net, trading as Carplaylux ("we", "us", "our"), and govern every order placed through carplaylux.com. By placing an order, creating an account, or otherwise using our storefront, you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please do not place an order. These Terms sit above, and should be read together with, our Return & Refund Policy, our Shipping Policy, our Privacy Policy, and our Legal Notice, which contains our full statutory business identification and country-by-country consumer law disclosures.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion — for example where a product is mispriced due to a listing error, where stock has been depleted, where a vehicle-compatibility check cannot be confirmed, or where we reasonably suspect fraud. Where we cancel a confirmed order, we will notify you promptly and refund any amount already paid in full, without deduction.
Products Covered by These Terms
These Terms apply to every product sold through carplaylux.com: wireless Apple CarPlay retrofit systems, Android Auto multimedia units, genuine used OEM headlights, OEM-style headlight replacements, LED headlight conversion kits, LED sequential rear-light kits, automotive electronics (digital clusters, control modules, DSP amplifiers), and interior and exterior accessories. Full descriptions of each category are set out on our product catalogue and in Section 2 of our Legal Notice.
Fitment Is Confirmed, Not Universal
Nearly every product we sell is matched to a specific vehicle make, model, chassis code, and production year. We do not sell our lighting and infotainment products as "universal fit" — see Section 3 for our order-verification process.
Stock Items, Not Custom Goods
Confirming your VIN and vehicle details helps us select the correct existing product from stock — it does not make the product custom-manufactured or personalised. This means your statutory right of withdrawal (Section 6) is not excluded on this basis.
Condition Is Always Disclosed
Genuine used OEM headlight assemblies are clearly labelled as pre-owned on the relevant product page. Every other product category is sold new. We never describe a used part as new.
Order Process and Formation of Contract
This section explains exactly when a contract comes into existence between you and us, and why a vehicle-compatibility check is built into that process. It is designed to remove any ambiguity about the moment your order becomes binding.
STEP 1
You Place an Order
Adding a product to your basket and completing checkout is an offer to buy, not yet an accepted contract. You will see a full order summary, including the total price, before you confirm payment.
STEP 2
Order Receipt Email
You immediately receive an automated order-receipt email confirming what you ordered and the price charged. This email confirms we have received your order — it is not, by itself, our acceptance of the contract.
STEP 3
Vehicle Compatibility Check
For vehicle-specific products, our team verifies your VIN, make, model, and year against the product's confirmed applications. If anything is unclear, we contact you by email before proceeding — this may briefly delay acceptance.
STEP 4
Order Confirmation = Acceptance
A binding contract of sale is formed only once we send you a separate order confirmation / dispatch-ready notice by email confirming that compatibility has been verified and your order is proceeding to fulfilment.
If a compatibility issue is identified at Step 3, we will never simply cancel your order without contact. We will always notify you first and offer either a suitable compatible alternative or a full refund, in accordance with Section 4.4 (Content Accuracy) of our Legal Notice. If we are unable to confirm your order for any reason, no contract is formed and any payment taken is refunded in full within 14 days.
Pricing, Payment Methods and Currency
All prices on carplaylux.com are displayed in Euros (EUR) and are inclusive of applicable Dutch VAT unless a listing states otherwise. Shipping and any import-related costs, where applicable, are itemised separately at checkout before you confirm payment. Prices may change at any time, but the price shown to you at the moment you complete checkout is the price that applies to your order — a subsequent price change never affects an order already placed.
Accepted Payment Methods
Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Maestro, UnionPay, PayPal, Klarna (Buy Now Pay Later), iDEAL, Bancontact, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Shop Pay, all processed through Shopify's PCI DSS-compliant checkout. We never store full card details on our own servers.
When You Are Charged
Payment is captured at the time your order is placed, not on dispatch. This allows us to secure stock and begin the vehicle-compatibility verification described in Section 3. If your order cannot be confirmed, any amount charged is refunded in full.
Free Shipping Threshold
Standard shipping is free on orders above €150. Orders below this threshold display a shipping charge clearly at checkout before payment is taken. Full carrier and transit-time details are set out in our Shipping Policy.
No Personalised Pricing
We do not vary the price shown to individual customers based on browsing history, location profiling, or device type. Every visitor to a given storefront locale sees the same price for the same product at the same time.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery timelines, carriers, and order cut-off times are governed in full by our dedicated Shipping Policy, which forms part of these Terms by reference. In summary:

Risk in the goods (for example, loss or damage in transit) passes to you on delivery to the address you provided at checkout, unless you have asked the carrier to leave the parcel at an alternative location, in which case risk passes at the point of that agreed delivery. Title to the goods is dealt with separately in Section 8 (Retention of Title).
Statutory 14-Day Right of Withdrawal
Under Directive 2011/83/EU as implemented across all thirteen countries we serve, you have an unconditional right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 calendar days — without giving any reason. This right applies to every product category we sell, including vehicle-specific parts, because confirming your vehicle's compatibility (Section 3) does not make a product custom-made or personalised to you.
6.1 — Withdrawal Period
You may withdraw within 14 calendar days beginning the day after you (or a third party you name) receive the goods. Where an order comprises multiple parcels delivered separately, the period runs from receipt of the last item.
6.2 — How to Withdraw
Notify us before the deadline by a clear statement — for example an email to info@carplaylux.com stating your order number and your decision to withdraw. You may use the model withdrawal form below, but you do not have to.
6.3 — Effects of Withdrawal
We will reimburse all payments received from you, including standard delivery charges, without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day we receive the returned goods or evidence you have sent them back, whichever is earlier, using the same payment method you used, unless you expressly agree otherwise.
6.4 — Returning the Goods
Send the goods back without undue delay and within 14 days of telling us you wish to withdraw. Unless we offer to collect the goods ourselves, the direct cost of returning them is borne by you. You are liable only for any diminished value resulting from handling beyond what is necessary to establish the nature and function of the goods. 6.5 — Limited Exceptions
The right of withdrawal does not apply to sealed goods that are not suitable for return for health protection or hygiene reasons and were unsealed after delivery, or to goods that become inseparably mixed with other items after delivery. Where an exception applies to a specific product, this is stated clearly on that product's listing page before you order. No product in our catalogue is treated as custom-made or personalised solely because it was matched to your vehicle.

Legal Guarantee of Conformity
Under Directive 2019/771/EU on the sale of goods, as implemented in the Netherlands under Book 7 of the Dutch Civil Code and in the national law of each country we serve, goods must conform to the contract at the time of delivery. This guarantee exists automatically by law — you do not need to purchase an extended warranty to benefit from it, and it is entirely separate from, and unaffected by, the 14-day right of withdrawal in Section 6.
New Goods
The statutory conformity guarantee for new goods runs for a minimum of two years from delivery. Portugal and Spain extend this to three years under their national implementing law — see Section 12.
Used (Pre-Owned OEM) Goods
For genuine used OEM parts, the guarantee period is reduced to a minimum of one year, as permitted under Article 10(6) of Directive 2019/771/EU. This reduction is disclosed on the relevant product listing before you order — it is never a hidden term.
Burden of Proof
For the first 12 months after delivery, a defect that appears is presumed to have existed at delivery unless we can show otherwise. After 12 months, you may be asked to show that the defect was already present when the goods were delivered.
Your Remedies
If goods do not conform, you are entitled to have them repaired or replaced free of charge within a reasonable time. Where repair or replacement is impossible, disproportionate, or not carried out within a reasonable time, you may be entitled to a proportionate price reduction or to terminate the contract and receive a refund.
To make a conformity claim, contact info@carplaylux.com with your order number, a description of the fault, and photos or video where possible. Fitment issues that arise solely because incorrect vehicle information was supplied by the customer at checkout are not conformity defects under Directive 2019/771/EU and are handled under our standard return terms rather than this guarantee.
Retention of Title
Ownership of the goods you order (eigendomsvoorbehoud under Article 3:92 of the Dutch Civil Code) remains with Batterijen.net until we have received payment in full for those goods, including any applicable shipping charges. In practice, because our standard checkout captures payment in full at the time of order (Section 4.2), title passes to you at the moment your payment is successfully processed and your order is confirmed under Section 3.
This clause becomes relevant only in the exceptional case that a payment is reversed, fails, or is otherwise not settled in full after dispatch — for example following a chargeback or a failed instalment payment where an instalment provider such as Klarna is used. In that scenario, title to the relevant goods does not pass to you until payment is settled in full, and we reserve the right to request the return of the goods at our cost.
This clause does not affect your statutory consumer rights, including your right of withdrawal (Section 6) or your rights under the legal guarantee of conformity (Section 7), and it is not a means of avoiding a legitimate refund.
Limitation of Liability
Liability We Cannot and Do Not Limit. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, for damage caused by wilful misconduct or gross negligence, for defective products under the Product Liability Directive, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited under Dutch or EU law. These protections apply in full regardless of any other wording in these Terms.
Ordinary Negligence. Subject to the paragraph above, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable Dutch and mandatory consumer-protection law, our liability for loss caused by ordinary (not gross) negligence is limited to the purchase price paid for the specific product giving rise to the claim.
Indirect and Consequential Loss. Subject to the first paragraph above, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as loss of profit, loss of use, loss of data, or business interruption arising from your purchase or use of a product from carplaylux.com.
Installation and Road Use. We accept no liability for loss arising from installation carried out contrary to our instructions or our recommendation of professional installation (Section 6 of our Legal Notice), from use of a lighting product in a way that contravenes your national road traffic law, or from modifications made to a product after delivery.
Your Statutory Rights Are Never Reduced
This clause never reduces your right of withdrawal (Section 6), your legal guarantee of conformity (Section 7), or your statutory product liability rights (Section 10). If any part of this section is found unenforceable under the mandatory law of your country of residence, that part is applied only to the minimum extent needed to make it lawful — the rest of the clause remains in effect.
Force Majeure
We are not liable for any delay or failure to perform our obligations under these Terms where that delay or failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, fire, strikes or other industrial action, war or civil unrest, pandemics or public-health emergencies, government action or export/import restriction, or failures of our carriers or logistics partners that we could not reasonably have foreseen or prevented.
Where a force majeure event delays your order significantly, we will notify you as soon as reasonably possible and, where the delay is likely to exceed 30 days, you may cancel the affected order and receive a full refund of any amount already paid for it. This clause does not affect your statutory right of withdrawal (Section 6) or your rights under the legal guarantee of conformity (Section 7).
Intellectual Property and Trademarks
Our Content. All original content on carplaylux.com — text, layouts, graphics, and the Carplaylux brand identity — is the property of Batterijen.net and protected under Dutch copyright law (Auteurswet 1912) and EU Directive 2001/29/EC. You may not reproduce, distribute, or modify this content without our prior written permission.
Third-Party Trademarks. Brand names such as Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Tesla, and others referenced on our storefront are used solely to identify the vehicles and systems our products are designed to be compatible with. This use does not imply affiliation with, sponsorship by, or endorsement from the trademark owner. Carplaylux / Batterijen.net is an independent aftermarket and OEM-compatible parts retailer, not an authorised dealer of any vehicle manufacturer. The full list of referenced trademarks is set out in Section 8 of our Legal Notice.
Product Classification
We label every product accurately as Genuine OEM, OEM-Style, or Premium Aftermarket, and never describe a used part as new or a third-party part as genuine. See Section 7 of our Legal Notice for the full definitions.
Country-Specific Contract Terms
The baseline terms in Sections 3, 4, 6, and 7 apply to every order. The points below highlight where your country's national implementation of EU consumer law adds a specific contractual requirement or extends a right beyond the EU minimum. Full contact details for each country's regulatory authority and ADR body are set out in Section 5 of our Legal Notice. Expand a country below for the terms specific to your order.
BelgiumGoverned by Books VI and XIV of the Belgian Code of Economic Law. Withdrawal: 14 calendar days. Conformity guarantee: 2 years (new), 1 year minimum (used). Pre-contractual information, including total price and identity of the seller, must be provided clearly before the order button is clicked. Where you shop in French or Dutch, order confirmation communications are provided in that language.
Misleading price-reduction claims are prohibited under CEL Book VI; we do not use manufactured "before/after" pricing on our storefront.
Governed by §§1810–1867 of the Czech Civil Code (Act No. 89/2012 Sb.) and the Consumer Protection Act (Act No. 634/1992 Sb.). Withdrawal: 14 calendar days. Conformity guarantee: 2 years (new), 1 year minimum (used).
You are entitled to the model withdrawal form under Government Regulation No. 363/2013 Sb. and to full written confirmation of your order, including the withdrawal instruction, at the time your contract is formed.
Governed by Articles L221-1 to L242-1 of the French Consumer Code. Withdrawal (délai de rétractation): 14 calendar days. Under Article L111-1, we disclose the essential characteristics of each product on its listing page before you order.
The garantie légale de conformité runs for 2 years, with the defect presumed pre-existing for the first 12 months; the garantie des vices cachés applies in addition and is unaffected by these Terms.
Return shipping costs following withdrawal are the consumer's responsibility for goods that can be returned by normal parcel post, unless an individual offer states otherwise, consistent with Article L221-23.
Governed by §§312 ff. BGB (distance contracts) and §§434–442 BGB (Sachmängelhaftung). Withdrawal (Widerrufsrecht): 14 calendar days. Conformity guarantee: 2 years (new), 1 year minimum (used), with the burden-of-proof reversal under §477 BGB applying for the first 12 months.

Pursuant to §36 VSBG, we disclose that we are neither obliged nor generally willing to participate in proceedings before a consumer arbitration board (Verbraucherschlichtungsstelle); we nonetheless encourage direct contact to resolve any dispute amicably (see Section 14).

Before you confirm your order, our checkout makes clear that clicking the order button creates a payment obligation (fizetési kötelezettség), and a model withdrawal form is provided as required by Decree 45/2014.
Governed by the Italian Consumer Code (D.Lgs. 206/2005, as amended). Withdrawal (diritto di recesso): 14 calendar days; extended to 12 months if we fail to give you the withdrawal information required by law. As the country in which Batterijen.net is registered (KVK 82259844), Dutch law forms the default governing law of these Terms under Section 13, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection rules of your own country of residence if you live elsewhere.
Governed by the Austrian Distance and Foreign Transactions Act (FAGG) and the Consumer Protection Act (KSchG). Withdrawal: 14 calendar days. Conformity guarantee: 2 years (new), 1 year minimum (used).
Our order button is labelled to make clear that confirming an order creates a payment obligation ("zahlungspflichtig bestellen" or equivalent), as required by Austrian law, and the KSchG's prohibition on forfeiture clauses that strip consumers of statutory rights is respected throughout these Terms.
Governed by Decree-Law 24/2014 (distance contracts) and Decree-Law 84/2021 (goods conformity). Withdrawal: 14 calendar days.
Extended guarantee: under Decree-Law 84/2021, new goods sold to Portuguese consumers carry a three-year conformity guarantee — one year longer than the Section 7 EU baseline. Act No. 102/2014 requires the order button to clearly indicate the obligation to pay (povinnosť zaplatiť), and a model withdrawal form is provided in Section 6 above.
Governed by the Slovenian Consumer Protection Act (ZVPot-1, Official Gazette No. 130/22). Withdrawal: 14 calendar days. Conformity guarantee: 2 years (new), 1 year minimum (used).

Governed by the Revised Text of the General Law for the Defence of Consumers and Users (TRLGDCU, RDLeg 1/2007), as amended by Royal Decree-Law 7/2021. Withdrawal (derecho de desistimiento): 14 calendar days.
Extended guarantee: following Royal Decree-Law 7/2021, new goods sold to Spanish consumers carry a three-year conformity guarantee — one year longer than the Section 7 EU baseline. Used (pre-owned OEM) goods carry a minimum one-year guarantee where disclosed at point of sale. Our mandatory LSSI-CE Article 10 identity disclosure is set out in Section 5 of our Legal Notice.
This country-by-country overview highlights contract-specific rules only and does not replace independent legal advice. Nothing in this section overrides the general terms in Sections 1–11 and 13–15, except where it grants you a broader right (such as the extended guarantees in Portugal and Spain).
Governing Law, Jurisdiction and Language of Contract
Governing Law. These Terms, and any dispute arising from or connected with your purchase, are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, including the Dutch Civil Code (Burgerlijk Wetboek), without prejudice to the mandatory consumer-protection provisions of the law of your own country of residence, which continue to apply and cannot be displaced by this choice-of-law clause. In practice, this means you keep the benefit of any consumer right that is mandatory in your home country — such as an extended guarantee period — even though Dutch law otherwise governs the contract.
Jurisdiction. Any dispute that cannot be resolved through the process in Section 14 will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Dordrecht or Rotterdam, Netherlands, unless a mandatory rule in your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings before the courts of that country instead — a right which this clause does not remove.
Language of the Contract. The contract is concluded in the language of the storefront locale you used to place your order (for example, the Dutch, French, German, Italian, or Spanish version of carplaylux.com, where available, or English by default). Order confirmations, the withdrawal instruction, and customer-service correspondence are provided in that same language wherever our storefront supports it; otherwise, English is used.

Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
Contact Us First. If a dispute arises over any order, please contact us first at info@carplaylux.com or +31 640 242 654 (Monday–Friday, 09:00–17:00 CET). We acknowledge complaints within 1 business day and aim to propose a resolution within 5 business days.
European Consumer Centres Network (ECC-Net). If we are unable to resolve a cross-border dispute directly, consumers resident in the EU, Norway, or Iceland may contact the European Consumer Centre in their own country, free of charge, through the ECC-Net at eccnet.eu. A full list of officially recognised national ADR bodies for each of the thirteen countries we serve is maintained by the European Commission at consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu, and country-specific contact details are also listed in Section 5 of our Legal Notice.
ADR Participation Statement. We are not obligated under Dutch law to participate in a particular ADR scheme and do not currently hold a standing agreement with one. We will nonetheless consider participation in ADR on a case-by-case basis where it supports a fair, prompt resolution, and we always cooperate in good faith with any national ADR body or consumer centre referral. You may bring a dispute before the competent court of your country of residence at any time, as an alternative to ADR. This statement also satisfies the obligation under German VSBG §36 (see Section 12, Germany).
How to Make a Complaint
- Email info@carplaylux.com with your order number and a description of the issue.
- We acknowledge within 1 business day.
- We provide a substantive response and proposed resolution within 5 business days.
- If unresolved, escalate to your national ECC-Net centre or the authority listed for your country in Section 5 of our Legal Notice.
Amendments to These Terms
Batterijen.net may update these Terms to reflect changes in applicable law, regulatory requirements, our business operations, or our product range. No amendment ever reduces the statutory rights you already hold.
Material Changes. Where a change materially affects your rights or obligations — for example, a change to our delivery timelines or a change in the applicable governing law — we notify registered customers by email at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
Orders Already Placed. Your rights for an order already placed are governed by the version of these Terms in force at the time your order was confirmed under Section 3, except where an amendment extends your rights or a law requires the new version to apply retrospectively.
Current Version. The version published at carplaylux.com/nl-nl/policies/terms-of-service is the version in effect at the time of your visit.
