From the moment your order is delivered, your 14-calendar-day cancellation window begins. You do not need to give us a reason, and you are not charged a cancellation fee for exercising this right.

The 14-Day Right of Withdrawal, in Detail

14 Calendar Days, Not Business Days
You have 14 calendar days — including weekends and public holidays — starting from the day you (or a person you nominate, other than the courier) physically receives the goods.
Split or Multi-Item Deliveries
If your order arrives in several parcels (for example, a headlight kit and a wiring harness shipped separately), your 14-day period begins on the day you receive the final item.
No Reason Needed
You are free to cancel simply because you changed your mind, found a better fit, or no longer need the item — you do not need to justify your decision to us.
No Cancellation Fee
We do not charge a fee for processing a valid cancellation. Your only cost, where applicable, is the direct cost of returning the goods to us, explained further below.

Notify Us Within 14 Days
Before your 14-day window closes, email info@carplaylux.com with your order number and a clear statement that you wish to cancel.
Use the Cancellation Statement
You may use our model cancellation statement below, write your own free-text notice, or use our online contact form — any clear statement is valid under EU law.
Receive Our Confirmation
We reply within 1 business day acknowledging your cancellation and, if your item has already shipped, providing return instructions and our warehouse address.
Return the Goods, If Delivered
If your order has already arrived, send it back to us within 14 days of the day you told us you were cancelling, in its original condition and packaging.
Receive Your Refund
We refund you to your original payment method within 7 business days of receiving the returned goods, or your proof of return shipment, whichever is earlier.
If you cancel before your order has been dispatched, no return is necessary — we simply refund the full order value once your cancellation notice reaches us.

Eligible for Cancellation, While Unopened and Unused
The following categories can be cancelled under the 14-day right of withdrawal, provided the item is unopened, unused, uninstalled, and returned in its original packaging with all included accessories:
Wireless CarPlay Systems
Standard, non-vehicle-configured units, sealed and unopened.
Android Auto Multimedia Units
Unopened units that have not been wired into a vehicle.
LED Headlight & Rear Light Kits
Unopened, non-VIN-matched lighting kits still in factory packaging.
Automotive Electronics
Control modules and clusters that remain sealed and unfitted.
Interior & Exterior Accessories
Unused trim and styling accessories in original packaging.

Where EU Law Does Not Grant a Right to Cancel
Article 16 of Directive 2011/83/EU lists specific exceptions to the right of withdrawal. Based on how our products are sold, the following situations are excluded from cancellation:
Customized or Personalized Products
Wiring looms, harnesses, or units modified or configured specifically to your vehicle at your request.
Products Already Installed
Any lighting, electronics, or media unit that has been fitted or wired into a vehicle can no longer be cancelled.
Goods That Have Deteriorated
Items damaged, scratched, or altered through handling beyond what is needed to inspect them, as ordinarily allowed in a physical shop.
VIN-Specific Genuine OEM Parts
Used OEM assemblies sourced and confirmed against your specific VIN during our vehicle-verification step, clearly marked on the relevant product page.

A Note on Vehicle Safety and Product Condition
Once a lighting or electronic component has been wired into a vehicle, it can no longer be resold as new, and, in the case of components that interact with a vehicle's safety systems, it cannot always be safely verified as fault-free once removed. This is why installation is treated as the point at which the right of cancellation ends for these product categories.
- Before installing any product, confirm you still wish to keep it — installation ends your right to cancel that item under EU law.
- If you are unsure about fitment or compatibility, contact us at info@carplaylux.com before installation, not after.
- A defective item remains covered by your legal conformity guarantee even after installation — cancellation and defect claims are handled differently, and installing a faulty product does not remove your rights.
