This policy explains who owns the content on carplaylux.com, how we use vehicle-manufacturer names and trademarks solely to describe compatibility with wireless CarPlay systems, Android Auto units, OEM and OEM-style headlights, LED lighting kits, automotive electronics, and interior & exterior accessories, and how we handle copyright or trademark concerns raised by rights holders.
Respecting Rights on Both Sides of Every Listing
Carplaylux is the trading name of Batterijen.net, a Netherlands-registered business (VAT NL003661115B65, registration number 82259844) selling wireless CarPlay and Android Auto retrofit systems, OEM and OEM-style headlights, LED headlight and rear light kits, automotive electronics, and interior and exterior accessories through our Shopify storefront at carplaylux.com. Because our catalogue is built around vehicle compatibility, we regularly reference the names of the vehicle manufacturers our products are designed to fit, such as BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Tesla, Jaguar, Bentley, and Lamborghini. This policy sets out, in plain terms, how we protect our own original content, how we use third-party trademarks responsibly and lawfully, and how anyone who believes their copyright or trademark has been misused on our site can raise that concern with us.
We wrote this policy specifically for our own catalogue and business model. It is not a generic template, and it should be read together with our Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Legal Notice.
Customers, Suppliers, and Rights Holders
This policy applies to every visitor and customer of carplaylux.com, to the suppliers and manufacturers whose products we list, and to any third party, including vehicle manufacturers, component brands, photographers, or other content owners, who believes that material appearing on our store infringes their copyright or trademark rights.
It covers the thirteen European Union countries we currently ship to: Belgium, the Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Croatia, the Netherlands, Austria, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Spain, and applies the shared EU legal framework for copyright and trademark protection alongside the national implementing laws of each of those countries, summarised later in this policy.

Everything below is either created by us, licensed to us, or supplied to us under agreement with our manufacturing and logistics partners, and is protected under the Berne Convention, the EU copyright framework, and the national copyright laws of the countries we serve.
Product Descriptions & Copy
Our fitment notes, installation guidance, and category descriptions for CarPlay systems, Android Auto units, headlights, and LED kits are written in-house and may not be copied to another storefront without permission.
Product Photography
Studio and installed-product photography, including images showing our units fitted to specific vehicle dashboards or headlight housings, is either shot by us or licensed from our manufacturing partners for use on carplaylux.com.
Carplaylux Branding
The Carplaylux name, our site logo, and our visual identity (colours, layout, and iconography) are business identifiers of Batterijen.net used in connection with our goods and services.
Site Design & Code
The layout, structure, graphics, and underlying code of our Shopify storefront are protected as a compilation and, where applicable, as software, and may not be scraped, mirrored, or reproduced elsewhere.
Diagrams & Compatibility Charts
Vehicle-application charts, wiring compatibility notes, and installation diagrams we prepare in-house for our LED kits and electronics are original compilations of our own testing and sourcing work.
Marketing Material
Emails, banners, and social media content we publish to promote our products remain our property and may not be reused commercially without written consent.
Vehicle Manufacturer Names & Third-Party Trademarks
Wireless CarPlay units, Android Auto multimedia systems, OEM-style headlights, and LED kits are only useful to a customer if they know which vehicles they fit. To describe that compatibility accurately, our product pages reference the names of the original vehicle manufacturers, including the following brands we currently list applications for:
Carplaylux and Batterijen.net are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Audi, Porsche, Tesla, Jaguar, Bentley, Lamborghini, or any other vehicle manufacturer named on this site, unless a specific product page states otherwise.
All manufacturer names, model designations, and logos referenced on our product pages remain the exclusive property of their respective trademark owners. We use these names strictly for nominative, descriptive purposes, that is, to identify which vehicle a given CarPlay unit, headlight, LED kit, or electronic component is compatible with, and never to suggest that the manufacturer has produced, approved, or endorsed our product. Where a manufacturer's logo or badge appears in a product photograph because it is genuinely present on a used OEM part, that image is provided for accurate identification of the item being sold, not as a claim of affiliation.
This approach reflects the principle of nominative fair use recognised across EU trademark law, including Article 14 of Directive (EU) 2015/2436 and Article 14 of Regulation (EU) 2017/1001, which permit the use of a third party's trademark where necessary to indicate the intended purpose of a product, such as a spare part or accessory, provided the use is in accordance with honest commercial practices. We apply this standard consistently across our CarPlay, Android Auto, headlight, LED, electronics, and accessory listings.
How We Label Origin to Avoid Trademark Confusion
Because trademark law is closely tied to consumer confusion about the origin of goods, we mark every listing clearly as one of three types, so that no customer mistakenly believes a part was manufactured or licensed by the vehicle brand itself:
Used, original manufacturer parts (for example, a used BMW headlight assembly) that genuinely carry the manufacturer's own markings because they were made and sold by that manufacturer. We describe these truthfully as used OEM parts, not as new or manufacturer-supplied items.
New components built to match factory form, fit, and wiring by third-party manufacturers who have no affiliation with the vehicle brand. These listings never use the manufacturer's logo as if it were our own mark, and copy such as "BMW-style" or "for BMW 3 Series" describes compatibility only.
Performance or styling upgrades not intended to replicate a factory part are clearly presented as aftermarket modifications, avoiding any implication of OEM origin or manufacturer trademark ownership.
If you believe a specific listing blurs this distinction, uses a manufacturer's logo in a way that suggests false endorsement, or otherwise misrepresents the origin of a product, please use the reporting process below so we can review and correct it.
Reporting a Copyright or Trademark Concern
If you are a rights holder, or represent one, and believe that content on carplaylux.com infringes a copyright you own or misuses a trademark in a way that is not covered by the nominative, descriptive use explained above, we want to hear from you and resolve it quickly.

We Acknowledge Receipt
We aim to acknowledge every notice within 1 business day, Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00 CET, and confirm we have logged your report.
We Investigate
We review the flagged listing, image, or text against our supplier agreements, licensing records, and this policy to determine whether removal or correction is warranted.
We Act
Where infringement is confirmed, we remove or amend the material without undue delay. Where we believe the use is lawful (for example, genuine nominative fair use), we explain our reasoning to you in writing.
You Are Notified
We confirm the outcome of our review directly to the email address you provided, along with any action taken.
To help us act quickly, please include the following in your notice:
- Your full name, the company or brand you represent (if applicable), and a way to contact you.
- The exact URL(s) on carplaylux.com where the material in question appears.
- A description of the copyrighted work or registered trademark you believe is being infringed, including registration details if available.
- An explanation of why you believe the use is unlawful rather than a permitted descriptive or nominative use.
- A statement, made in good faith, that you are the rights holder or authorised to act on their behalf.
Reviews, Photos & Content You Share With Us
If you submit a product review, an installation photo, or a message to our support team (for example, showing your CarPlay unit or headlight kit fitted to your vehicle during our vehicle verification step), you remain the owner of that content. By submitting it, you grant Carplaylux a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it on carplaylux.com and in related marketing, for the purpose of helping other customers evaluate our products, unless you tell us otherwise in writing.
You confirm that any content you submit is your own work, does not infringe a third party's copyright, and does not include another person's identifiable image or personal data without their consent. We remove submitted content on request; contact info@carplaylux.com to ask for removal.
Please note that photographs you submit may incidentally show a vehicle manufacturer's badge or logo because it is genuinely present on your vehicle. This is accepted as accurate, incidental depiction and is not treated as an infringing use by either you or us.
Corrections, Counter-Notices & Repeat Concerns
If We Remove Something in Error
If material of yours is removed or amended following a notice and you believe this was mistaken, you may reply to our confirmation email with an explanation. We will re-review the listing and, where appropriate, restore it.
Repeated or Unfounded Notices
We take every notice seriously, but repeated notices found to be knowingly false or made in bad faith may be disregarded, and we reserve the right to seek legal advice where a pattern of misuse causes us harm.
Confirmed Infringement by Suppliers
If a supplier or manufacturer we work with is found to have provided us with content that infringes a third party's rights, we will remove the affected listings and review our relationship with that supplier accordingly.
